Things have a way of coming around full circle.
30 years ago I made a interwoven style cross for Doug’s Dad, using the gold from family rings too worn to wear. Doug’s Dad wore the cross all the time, never taking it off. When his father passed away, Doug continued the family tradition, wearing the cross all the time.
When Doug had a couple favorite rings that were worn too thin to wear anymore, I was so glad he came to me to make them into new ring. He had been thinking about it a lot, and knew he wanted a cross on the top of the ring, sitting over a jade stone set in from the backside. I suggested an interwoven design for the cross, picking up the style of the original cross I made for his Dad 30 years ago. Knowing Doug’s taste, all the design details fell into place. When I saw his face as he looked at the rendering, I knew everything about the design was “right”!
